The College is fully residential. Cadets (other than UTPNCM) live together in a military environment. All cadets are required to take part in a demanding routine designed to raise them to a high standard of physical fitness, drill, dress and deportment.

First, RMC educates and trains on-campus students for careers as commissioned officers in the Canadian Armed Forces. Education is free for most on-campus undergraduates because of commitments of military service following graduation; these Officer Cadets also receive an additional monthly salary.

How do you join the Royal Military College of Canada?

Students can be admitted directly to 1st year university at RMC if they have successfully completed the first year of a two-year General DEC Diploma from an accredited CEGEP. Students who have completed their two-year DEC Diploma may be admitted with advance standing.

What do you study at RMC?

RMC offers six engineering programmes: Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering. All programmes are offered in both English and French. All Engineering programmes are based on a common first year with specialization commencing in the second year of study.
