Who can do the AACC?
All officers and other ranks over the age of 18 who have completed Phase 2 training are eligible to apply for the AACC. For serving members of the Regular Army, RN and RAF there is no upper age limit for applying for the AACC, subject to the medical and fitness criteria.
Can anyone in the army do the All Arms Commando Course?
The course is open to both men and women. In 2002 Major Philippa Tattersall of the Adjutant General’s Corps became the first woman to have successfully completed it.
Do Royal Marines have to do P Company?
Marines complete this training at RAF Brize Norton but are not required to undergo Pre-Parachute Selection Course (P-Company) training due to the arduous nature of the commando course they have already completed.

Can a woman join the Royal Marines?
In accordance with current Government policy on the employment of women in the UK military, service in the Royal Marines is only open to male volunteers. However, appointments do exist for women within the Army units that support 3 Commando Brigade and as such women can apply for the AACC.
