What can Autodesk Inventor be used for?
Autodesk Inventor is specifically helpful for product design, tooling creation, mechanical design, and product simulation. This software enables users to construct accurate 3D models to aid in simulation and visualization before building products.
What are the two types of projects that can be created in Inventor?
Autodesk Inventor actively supports two types of projects:
- Single-user project.
- Vault project (If Autodesk Vault Basic is installed)
What are the 4 types of files you can make with Inventor?
File Types and Templates in Inventor. Understand the structure and use of part, assembly, presentation, and drawing files.
How do I improve Autodesk Inventor?
Reducing the number of visible components in large assemblies. Use simplified representations for components in large assemblies. Avoid opening several instances of Inventor when working on multiple assemblies. Parts and assemblies can be opened in parallel in the same instance of Inventor.
What are the capabilities of Autodesk?

Is Autodesk Inventor hard?
Its fairly easy to learn. It took me about 2 hours to pick it up but I had been using Pro Engineer for 3 years. One of our draftsmen went from AutoCAD to Inventor and it took him 6 weeks to get confident but then again another one of our draftsmen went from AutoCAD to Inventor in a couple of days.
