“RAG” stands for “Receive and Give” and it is a public performance put up by various faculties and halls to mark the end of the freshmen orientation period. It’s a summer long project where freshman come together to put up a large scale performance to represent their hall or faculty.

Rallying for more donations Rag and Flag Day is a yearly event that involves the student body in charitable causes. On Flag Day, students sell various products or ask for donations on the streets, while others perform on floats made by different faculties and halls of residence on Rag Day.

What is fass Rag and Flag?

· School Fundraiser. Rag & Flag is an event unique to NUS, held in tandem to celebrate the spirit of giving and community. Each year, students fan out across the island to gather charitable donations from the public. Known as ‘flagging’, these donations are contributed to the needy beneficiaries of Singapore.

How do I join NUS student union?

To be able to affiliate to NUS your students’ union must meet the following criteria:

  1. Must be a UK based students’ union.
  2. Must be a students’ union whose institutions receive public funding for the provision of education and training.
  3. Must only have learners aged 16 and over.

Do you have to pay to join NUS?

Your affiliation fee will depend on your student numbers and students’ union income. The minimum affiliation fee is £250 and varies by the block grant you receive. When you contact the membership team to apply they will be able to discuss this with you further.

What age can you get NUS card?

TOTUM memberships are available to students aged 16 or over, studying full or part-time in the UK. So if you’re at a UK school, college, sixth form or university then you can join TOTUM.
