How do you rev an engine in park?
To rev your car, do the following:
- Turn the car on.
- Wait 10 to 20 seconds for the engine oil to properly lubricate all of the engine components.
- With the car in park, press the accelerator.
- Release the accelerator, and the engine will return to its idle RPM.
