Is physics and chemistry needed for Computer Science?

Is physics and chemistry needed for Computer Science?

Chemistry is not important in class 12 to take admission in computer science engineering. As physics and mathematics is the core subjects for computer science. So you must have enough knowledge in statistics mathematics and physics because that is very important.

Why is physics important in Computer Science?

Physics and Computer Science are two complementary fields. Physics provides an analytic problem-solving outlook and basic understanding of nature, while computer science enhances the ability to make practical and marketable applications, in addition to having its own theoretical interest.

Is chemistry important to study computer science?

No chemistry has nothing to do with computer science. But a scholar of CS should have a basic understanding of chemistry as it is one of the fundamental three streams of Science, namely Physics, Chemistry & Biology. No, the computer science stream does not require or need chemistry.

Can I study computer science without chemistry?

Yes, you can. Knowledge in chemistry or physics is not required for computer science. But, knowledge in math subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Graph Theory, Probability and Statistics is required and will be useful.

How is math used in computer science?

Math matters for computer science because it teaches students how to use abstract language, work with algorithms, self-analyze their computational thinking, and accurately modeling real-world solutions.

What is the use of chemistry in computer science?

Computational chemistry allows a computer to understand a specific aspect of science — such as the structure of a protein — and then learn how it functions. Applications of coupling computers and chemistry include creating solar cells and drugs and optimizing motor vehicles.
