What made Lee Strobel believe in God?
Strobel was an atheist when he began investigating the biblical claims about Christ after his wife’s conversion. Prompted by the results of his investigation, he became a Christian at the age of 29.
Which book of the Bible should I read first?
In the list of 15 books above, I recommend Luke as the Gospel to read because it’s the most thorough. But the Gospel of Mark presents the Good News of Jesus Christ as well. Any of the first 3 Gospels in the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, or Luke) would give you the same main point of the Bible.
What is the best “atheist books”?
1) ‘His Dark Materials’ by Philip Pullman. “Atheism for kids.” That’s what the Catholic League called Philip Pullman’s young-adult fantasy series, His Dark Materials. 2) ‘Saturday’ by Ian McEwan. Ian McEwan’s 2005 novel doesn’t seem overtly atheist. 3) ‘Catch-22’ by Joseph Heller. 4) ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ by Margaret Atwood. 5) ‘Harry Potter’ by J.K.
Pablo Neruda (1904-1973): Chilean poet and diplomat.
Does atheism have a holy book?
Atheism doesn’t mean rejecting a book. It means lacking a belief in any gods. There’s no such thing, really, as a “holy book”, but I get what you mean. I’ve read the Bible ( KJV ), the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price (the latter being LDS, or “mormon”, scripture) multiple times.
Should I become an atheist?
Yes, you should become an atheist, but atheism is not a choice or a religion, so you can’t choose to become an atheist. Atheism is only a label for the lack of belief in any gods. If you believe in at least one god, you’re a theist. If you don’t believe in any gods, you’re an atheist.
