NSS helps the student to grow individually and also as a group. It makes the students confident, develop leadership skills, and gain knowledge about different people from different walks of life. Students also learn other skills that help them lead a better life in various situations.

The main objective of NSS was primarily to give an extension to the higher education system and to orient the student youths to community service while studying in educational institutions. Therefore, the objective of the scheme is “Development of the Personality of Students through Community Service”.
