Why is Algeria not part of the Francophonie?

Admittedly, like elsewhere, Francophonie is not francophilia there, because Algeria developed for a long time, and even more since 1830, of the roots on the side of an arabo-Islamic identity. The political power used this legitimate search of an identity other than French to try to impose an Arab monolinguism.
