In my experience a difficult to move mouse is usually caused by crud on the small Teflon pads on the underside of the mouse itself. That same crud (I believe it’s a mix of dust and oils from your skin) can collect on some types of pad too or the pad can get scratched if it’s made of a material prone to this.
