How does Walnut app works?
Foundation of Walnut app (and these other apps) is SMS inbox of your phone. It reads SMS texts to help you in tracking your expenses, bills , account balance etc. Whenever you do a transaction using credit/debit card, netbanking or mobile apps , you receive a SMS alert from the respective bank about that transaction.
Is Walnut available for iOS?
There is no app like walnut which can analyse SMS’s and create an expense sheet. by default, ios app cannot access any other app’s data. So analysing SMS app is not possible. That’s the reason walnut is not developed for ios i guess.
How do I change my group name on Walnut?
To split a spend, tap the Split icon when you edit a transaction and then the friends button below to add a new group. Start typing in the name of whoever you’d like to split the bill with and then on ‘Done’ above. You can also add a group first by tapping on the Groups tab on the homescreen and then on “New Group”.
How do I add a walnut account?
On the home screen, tap the “Profile” icon above and then tap on “App Settings” and “Saved Cards & Banks”. You can add a debit card and bank account from there and set either of them as the default instrument for receiving money.
How do you settle in Walnut app?
To settle dues, tap on the ‘You Owe’ tab that displays pending transactions, select a transaction and the Walnut Pay icon to make the payment. To send and receive money, tap the “WalnutPay” tab (“Transactions” tab in iOS), and then on the “Send Money” or “Request Money” buttons to send and receive money respectively.
