Why is SCL6 not possible?

Why is SCL6 not possible?
Answer: Fluorine atom is smaller in size so, six F- ions can surround a sulphur atom. So, SF6 is known but SCI6 is not known due to interionic repulsion between larger ions.
Why SH6 is not possible?
Fluorine is most electronegative and Sulfur is electropositive in this particular case so it forms SF6. But SH6 doesn’t exist because hydrogen is electropositive and Sulfur is electronegative.
Does SCL6 exist due to steric crowding?
The size of Chlorine atom is considerably large and there will be huge steric crowding if 6 Cl atoms were to surround a Sulphur atom and therefore it does not exists .
Why of6 does not exist but SF6 exist?
(i) SF6 exists but OF6 does not because oxygen does not has vacant d-orbitals in the valence shell. Electrons are oxygen cannot be excited to higher levels to six unpaired electrons. In ‘S’ it is possible to do so as it has vacant d-orbital.
Why does OF6 not exist but SF6 exist?
Answer: because for the formation of OF6 compound there should be six unpaired electrons in oxygen atom is requierd and this is not possible due to absence of ‘d’ orbitals , secondly the small atomic size of oxygen can not accommodates six fluorine atoms.
Why IOS 6 does not exist but SF6 exist?
Why MnF7 does not exist?
Fluorine is highly electronegative. Therefore, fluorine atom has strong tendency to attract the electrons. has two manganese atoms and seven oxygen atoms so oxygen atom does not create crowd surrounding the manganese atoms. Hence MnF7 is not stable but Mn2O7 is stable.
Why SF6 exist but SH6 does not?
Only atoms of high electronegativity such as fluorine (4.0) can cause the promotion of electrons while the same is not possible with hydrogen with comparatively less electronegativity (2.1). Thus, SF6 can exist while SH6 cannot.
Why is OF6 compound not known?
oxygen electronic configuration is 1s2 2s2 2p4 It have only two orbital s and p but it do not have d- orbital. Since oxygen atom has no vacant d-orbitals, therefore, OF6 compound is not known.
