    What is the RTI application format?

    RTI Act, 2005 enacted by the Central Government does not provide any specific format of RTI Application. However, State Governments have passed various RTI Rules, which have prescribed specific format of RTI Application. These rules require the applicant to submit request for information in the prescribed format only.

  • 2. On clicking on submit request option ‘Guidelines for use of RTI ONLINE PORTAL’ screen will be displayed. This screen contains various guidelines
  • 3. Then Online RTI Request Form screen will be displayed. Ministry or Department for which the applicant wants to file an RTI can be selected. from
  • 4. Applicant will receive SMS alerts in case he/she provides mobile number. The fields marked*are mandatory while the others are optional.
