Is energy a matter or not?
In physics, energy is a property of matter. It can be transferred between objects, and converted in form. It cannot be created or destroyed. Everything in the Universe is made up of matter and energy.
Is energy a physical thing?
Energy is a quantitative physical property of particles (and fields). If by “thing” we mean matter and perhaps other particles, then energy is not a thing but rather a property of a thing. But it is very physical and very “real” in the effects it has.
Can we touch energy?
We can only touch physical things and feel and sense some gaseous matter. Energy is the motion of particles and particles make up matter. We cannot touch motion but we can sense and feel it.

Energy is not a concept but it is a part of nature of reality expressed by the real and nature. To understand energy one has to understand real by his character and nature.

Can we actually touch anything?
Well, technically speaking, you can’t actually touch anything. This is because the electrons in the atoms that make up your finger and that of the object you’re trying to touch repel each other (according to the basic law of electrostatics).
Do things ever actually touch?
Particles are, by their very nature, attracted to particles with an opposite charge, and they repel other similarly charged particles. This prevents electrons from ever coming in direct contact (in an atomic sense and literal sense). Their wave packets, on the other hand, can overlap, but never touch.
How is energy related to matter?
Energy is a property that matter has. The same amount matter can have different amounts of energy and so represent different states of matter. For example, if you add energy to an ice cube made of water, it becomes liquid water, and if you add even more energy, it becomes steam.
